Why not try a sport from the Winter Olympics?

by gaz

The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are finally up and running and already we have seen some amazing performances from British athletes including Jamie Nicholls in the snowboarding slopestyle event.  Our head of snowboarding, Gaz, is a freestyle snowboard instructor who has himself snowboarded with Jamie back in Hull, UK – we all have to start somewhere! Numerous Team GB athletes are not so lucky to have grown up in huge mountains such as those competing for USA, Canada, Switzerland, France, Austria etc. and have all had to take their first steps somewhere. If you are sat watching the Olympics on TV thinking “I’d like to give that a go” then get in touch with us here at White Side Holidays Poland where we have specialist instructors waiting to show you how to take your first steps or even push you to the next level in your chosen sport. We can offer you the chance to try your hand at any of the following sports that feature at the Winter Olympics:

  • Freestyle Snowboarding
  • Freestyle Skiing
  • Alpine Skiing
  • Cross-Country Skiing
  • Nordic Combined
  • Figure Skating
  • Speed Skating

There are numerous opportunities here in Zakopane, Poland and the best part of all, it’s probably the cheapest place to try these sports in all of Europe!  Zakopane has fantastic facilities for winter sports and is home to lots of the current Polish Olympic team competing in Sochi including the speed skating team, ski jumpers and cross country skiers.

If you think you’d like to try a sport from the Winter Olympics then get in touch with us now. We currently have some great offers on ski and snowboard holidays in March so there’s no time like the present to put your 2018 Winter Olympics dream into action!
