UPDATED: Restrictions on The Start of Winter 2020/2021

by gaz

We’re sad to have to announce a delayed start to White Side Holidays’ ski holiday packages in Zakopane, Poland this winter. Unfortunately after Coronavirus forced an early end to our last winter season back in March it hasn’t gone away, which has led to the Polish government putting restrictions in place that will affect the start of this winter’s ski and snowboard trips.

Ski areas in Poland were given the green light to open earlier this winter, however, new lockdown rules across Poland mean that from 28th December 2020 – 17th January 2021 all ski facilities, hotels and restaurants must remain closed. Unfortunately this has led to us cancelling the first month of our season for guests over Christmas, the New Year and the first half of January. This is something we had pre planned for through the summer during the height of lockdown so with those guests all refunded or rebooked we’re ready to look towards what will remain of the season.

We will hopefully still be able to run a shortened ski holiday season from the end of January, all being well. For any of our guests already booked in to ski from the 17th January onwards we will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed of any news from Poland. Anybody looking to ski in Zakopane and Bialka with us in February and March please feel free to contact White Side Holidays Poland and we’ll keep you informed of what we are able to offer.

We took the photo above last night overlooking Zakopane after a fresh snowfall to welcome in December, we’re so sorry we can’t welcome you to a snowy Zakopane this month. For now though all we can do is wait and keep everything crossed that 2021 brings us all some coronavirus free skiing in Poland!
