As with everything else in Zakopane, food and drink are very good value, even in today’s climate. The average price of a pint of beer compared to other major ski resorts around Europe is far cheaper – a pint of beer in Zakopane is around £2.20 where you can expect to pay upwards of £6/7 in France, Austria, Switzerland etc.
Zakopane is Poland’s premier mountain resort and the main street in Zakopane is lined with numerous places to eat and drink. There are a variety of restaurants, cocktail bars, Irish bars, café bars and quieter local bars; these vary in size but you will find something to suit you whether you are a couple looking for a quiet night out, or a larger group looking to let your hair down.
There are a couple of nightclubs in Zakopane, ranging from large dance clubs, to smaller R&B clubs. Nightclubs are open every night of the week and stay open until the early hours, with the busiest time being the weekends. Nightclubs have a small entrance fee at the weekend, just £2 (varies for Christmas/New Year), but drinks prices remain comparable to the local bars.
The ski slopes in Zakopane are open until around 9pm daily, so why not enjoy the nightlife on offer and still get your time on the snow during your ski or snowboard holiday to Poland!
BARS AND CLUBS IN ZAKOPANE
La Playa Beach Bar offers a beach style atmosphere and some completely different décor to the rest of Zakopane! Avoid the sand filled beer garden in winter though!
Va Va Voom is our favourite club in Zakopane and is often open just as a bar on quieter nights in town. VaVa Voom is a popular spot in Zakopane for after parties for ski and snowboard events that go on in the area. If you prefer to dress up somewhere smarter in the evenings then the cocktail lounge and club under The Aries hotel is the place to be.
