Flying to Poland
The nearest international airport to Zakopane is Krakow airport, which was fully refurbished and greatly improved in summer 2015 making your ski holiday to Zakopane even easier. Work is also ongoing on extending the motorway between Krakow and Zakopane, parts of which are fully opened now in winter 2022 knocking at least 10 minutes off an average journey from the airport, ski transfers at quiet times taking just 75 minutes. Krakow airport is 108km away (average – 2 hour drive) from Zakopane. There are regular flights to and from the UK, and there are some great deals to be found if you book early through nearly all low cost airlines, including Ryan Air, Easy Jet, Jet 2, Wizzair, British Airways and more. Katowice international airport is located about 40km north of Krakow, and Wizzair offer regular flights to and from the UK.

Buses to Zakopane
If you land at Krakow Airport and wish to make your own way to Zakopane by bus you will need to take the following steps. Everything is signposted from the airport but you will need some Polish currency to pay for buses and trains.
• Short walk across to the new Airport Rail Link.
• Airport Train to Krakow Central Rail Station – 20 minute journey.
• Short walk to Krakow Central Bus Station
• Bus to Zakopane – average journey time 2 hours 15 minutes. Buses run roughly every 30 minutes.
Driving to Zakopane
All of the accommodation options we offer for our ski packages in Zakopane have secure onsite parking spaces available for a small daily fee. If you would like to drive to Zakopane then we can provide post codes for your chosen accommodation.
